Abigail Jane Holweger

Abigail Jane Holweger, 24, of Cottage Grove, was taken from us unexpectedly on Friday, September 4. Born on August 6, 2002, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Abigail was a bright, loving, and deeply thoughtful young woman whose presence brought warmth to everyone around her. She had a gift for lifting others up, offering kindness without hesitation, and finding joy in small moments.

Abigail was a Case Manager for Thomas Allen, Inc., where she provided support for individuals living with developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and chronic mental illnesses. Her compassion and dedication touched countless lives and reflected the depth of her caring spirit.

She earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Rasmussen University in September 2025, a milestone that reflected her dedication to learning and helping others.

Her absence leaves a silence that can never be filled, but her light remains in every memory she created. She will be held in our hearts forever. Family was at the center of Abigail's life, and she cherished every bond deeply.

She is survived by her parents, Toni and Stuart Holweger of Cottage Grove; and her sister, Brooke Holweger. She is also survived by her partner, Joseph Gedatus of Hastings; her grandmothers, Laura Davenport, Linda Walker, and Toni D. Holweger; her aunt, Mindy Budzius; her uncle, Brett Budzius; and her cousins, Anika Budzius and Bridget Budzius. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Larry M. Holweger and Bruce A. Walker.

Abigail is cherished beyond measure and will be forever missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Celebration of Life 4pm Wednesday, September 16th at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, with visitation beginning one hour prior.
