Alan Klingsporn

On Monday October 3rd 2022, Alan Klingsporn Sr. Loving father of four, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones at age 70.

Alan was born July 31, 1952 in St. Paul MN to Roy and Bernetta (Kirtz) Klingsporn. He graduated from North St. Paul High School in 1970, and went on to receive many certifications as a Marine Mechanic working for his father's business, Tanners Lake Sport N Center for over 40 years.

Alan had a passion for drag racing. One of his favorite events to attend was Brainerd International Raceway every year for the National Drag Races taking all four of his children, it quickly became a shared love with each of them, their families and many friends. Spending time outdoors, watching Minnesota sports and Monday night wrestling were other joys in his life.

On the weekends you could find him with his girlfriend of 14 years JoAnn, supporting her at craft show events. He made friends quickly with other vendors with his easy going personality, charm and gift of gab. Alan was known for his life stories he loved to share with his grandchildren and making them laugh. His hand shake was one you’d always remember, along with his strong life values that he’d never compromise.

Alan was preceded in death by his father, Roy, and his sister Donna. Survived by his mother Bernetta, four children Alan Jr. (Molly), Kristine (Neil), Brian (Nicole), Josh, his grand pups, 6 brothers, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his loving girlfriend JoAnn, her son Huston, along with many more family and friends.

Memorial Service 12pm Sunday, October 30th at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, with visitation beginning one hour prior to service, reception to follow in community room.
