Al, age 61, passed unexpectedly on November 19,2025. Al was loving, kind, caring, funny, humble, encouraging and supportive. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, son and friend whose kindness touched every part of life. He lived with humility and selflessness - embodying the example of living out his faith.
Al exemplified service through 37 years with the US Postal Service, 3 years as a Red Cross driver and countless volunteer hours including delivering flowers weekly to a nursing home for 7 years. He worked tirelessly at work, home and volunteering, living each day with quiet humility, strength, integrity and his unique and wonderful sense of humor, which could light up a room. He had a warm and welcoming presence that was inviting and could put anyone at ease.
Al loved his family unconditionally and with all his heart. He enjoyed nature – hiking, bird and duck watching, waterfalls and trees. He also enjoyed MN sports, fantasy football and being a basketball referee.
Above all, Al was a man of God and lived by his faith. His faith was unwavering and he knew that he would have eternal life with our Savior.
Preceded in death by father, Harlan E. Leistikow.
Survived by loving wife, Lorna; children, Ben(Kit), Kelsey(Mike), Kayla(Scott) Sam; Ryan, Raya (Raymond) and four grandchildren; mother Judy; Brother Brian (Dianna); Kathy (Rob), nieces and nephews. To know him was a gift. He will be forever missed.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, MN from 3:00-7:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Woodbury Lutheran Church, 7380 Afton Road, Woodbury, MN at 1:00 pm.
