Alayne Novalany

August 24, 1944 — December 22, 2022

Passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on Thursday, December 22, 2022 in Louisville, Colorado with her three children present. She was born on August 24, 1944 in Paignton, England to Alexander and Judy Deas. Alayne worked as a pediatric nurse at the Royal Hospital for Children & Young People in Edinburgh, Scotland. She worked at the Holy Comforter Lutheran Church with the Mother's Day Out program caring for infant children in Kingwood, Texas. Alayne married Joseph Novalany in North Berwick, Scotland on August 6, 1994. Additionally, she lived in Texas and Minnesota before residing in Louisville, Colorado. Alayne had affection for animals, especially her golden retriever named Abbey. Her favorite hobbies included traveling, gardening and cooking. Alayne was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her former husband Peter Forbes and her children James, Drew, Kirsty, son-in-law Rick and her grand children Matt, Jenna and Sandy. A special mention to Alayne's surviving friends Maggie Stokes, Maureen Aitken, Kit Paton, Marcia McKenzie and Mayuri Kalita. A memorial service for Alayne will be held at 2:00pm on June 24, 2023 at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery and Mortuary in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Alayne will be buried next to her husband Joseph Novalany at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center in Stillwater, Minnesota on June 30 at 12:00pm.
