Alice J. Ghiloni

In loving memory of Alice Jean Ghiloni

Alice J. Ghiloni, age 85, of St. Paul, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on February 24, 2025.

Born January 12, 1940, in Glenwood Township, Wisconsin, Alice was the first of eight children born to Albert and Josephine (Paulus) Maes. After graduating from high school, she moved to the Twin Cities, where she began her career working for the railroad and later held administrative positions at Dayton's and Sears. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Frank Ghiloni.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank; her parents, Albert and Josephine (Paulus) Maes; her brother, Dave Maes; and her brother-in-law, Larry Lapp. Alice will be deeply missed by her family: children Kathy Meis (Steve) and Kevin Ghiloni (Angela), and her five grandchildren, Hailey, Ellie, Ryan, Brianna, and Ashley. She is also survived by her siblings: Dallas Maes (Deb), Nancy Banks (Wally), Gary Maes (Mary), Mary Lapp, Pam Steies (Dennis), Melinda Cossin, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family, including the Olesen and Heller families.

These four words ‒ family, friends, food and fun ‒ can encapsulate some of Alice's life, throughout her 85 years she embraced each of these wholeheartedly and left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

A gathering to celebrate Alice's life with lunch and refreshments will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, located at 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, MN 55082. 

Alice's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
