Alida was the daughter of Albert and Ida Schmuck. Her independent spirit, curiosity, and positive outlook began while growing up on the eastside of St. Paul with her four older siblings Norma, Irvin, Joan, and Marcelle.

She was married to Milton Knoll Jr. for 53 years until his passing in 2004. Together in White Bear Lake they raised Blake (Gina), Leslie (Tom), Craig (Diane), Brent, and Jon (Christina).

Many a book was read to and games played with grandchildren Blake Angelo, Max, Maddie, Christian, Clay, Brooke, Sofia, and Leah. Her spirit will be sorely missed and continually celebrated.

A virtual memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 21 at 11:00 am (link to be posted here prior to service) followed by a private family internment at Fort Snelling on November 23rd. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to local cat rescue or animal adoption organization.
