Allan Johnson

Allan L. Johnson, 81, of Apple Valley, passed away at Fairview Ridges Hospital on May 23, 2022.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Arnie & Dorothy Johnson, brother “Stag" Johnson, brother-in-law Randy Randall, and sister-in-law Lil (Chuck) Dunham.

Allan will be deeply missed by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Linda; sons Chris (Jennifer) Johnson & Steve (Atheen) Johnson; grandchildren Kayleigh (Brandon) Nyquist, Robin (Violet) Alexander, Emma & Neo Johnson; sister Delores Randall; sister in-law Betty (Frank) Jorgensen, many nieces, nephews, other family & friends.

A graduate of Bloomington HS and the U of M, Allan was a teacher and also spent many years in the IT industry. He had a passion for music and spread joy through his big band in college and later in life with the vocal group Sent Forth.

Visitation & Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 1701 West Old Shakopee Rd, Bloomington on Friday, July 1 at 10 am. Memorials are preferred to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church Foundation or donors’ choice.
