Anders David “Andy” Engström

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anders David "Andy" Engström, aged 34, who was promoted to spirit on March 2, 2024. Andy, a lifelong resident of Afton, MN, was born to David and Elizabeth Engström on November 4, 1989, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was a cherished community member, esteemed for his generous nature, amiable humor, and profound compassion.

Andy dedicated his professional life to enriching others as the Sports and Education Programming Director at Valley Access Channels in Stillwater, MN. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his love for the great outdoors, the dramatic arts, and the camaraderie of sports, especially wrestling and football, often surprising his dad with Vikings tickets.

Along with leaving behind his parents, David and Elizabeth; he also leaves behind his sisters, Kate Engström, and Lisa Engström; brother-in-law, Justin Cable; and nieces, Lucy, Cecilia, Violet, Florence, and Agnes; as well as his beloved aunts and uncles: Susan and David McAuliffe, Susie Erickson & Allen Lande, Dorothy Binger, and Carolyn Dunn. He also leaves behind his wife Brittany Wold, and her sons, Ethan, Josiah, and Hunter. In addition, many cousins, who were more like siblings to him, as well as many cherished friends. 

Services honoring Andy's life will be held at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Stillwater, MN. Visitation will commence at 10 am on Monday, March 11, 2024, followed by a service at noon, followed by light refreshments. Instead of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the family or donations made in honor of Anders Engstrom to any of the following organizations: Animal Ark (www.animalarkmn.org), Wild Rivers Conservancy (www.wildriversconservancy.org), or Belwin Conservancy (www.belwin.org). 

Andy's gentle spirit and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
