Ann Hopper Sneden

Ann H. Sneden, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and friend passed away after 92 wonderful years, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, generosity and caring.

Ann was born on August 7, 1934, in Rochester, NY. She was raised in South Orange, NJ and graduated from Western College for Women (now Miami University in Ohio). It was at Columbia high school that she dated Bob Sneden. Their high-school romance became a lifelong partnership and they were eventually married, sharing 50 years together.

After various moves Ann and Bob settled in East Grand Rapids, MI where they continued to raise their four children. Bob eventually retired from Johnson & Johnson, while Ann built a fulfilling career in real estate. In their retirement Ann and Bob moved to Loudon, TN spending many years enjoying their life together. They especially loved playing golf and traveling the world on cruises, creating countless memories along the way.

Ann was deeply committed to her church and community. She served as the head of her church's scholarship committee and took great pride in helping young people pursue their educational goals. She was also devoted to philanthropy, generously supporting various charities around Loudon and the many people they served.

After Bob's passing in 2006, Ann remained in Loudon, where she continued to be an active and caring member of her community. In her later years, she moved to Stillwater, MN to be closer to family.

Ann is survived by her four loving children: John (Beth) Sneden, Donna Patch (Tom Ritzel), Chris (Carol) Sneden, and Bill Sneden. She was a proud grandmother to Jennifer (John) Bassett, Danielle (Ben) Fraser, Stephanie Sneden, Charlie Patch, Libby Patch, Kate (Josh) Sneden, Molly Sneden, Hannah Sneden, Emma Sneden, and Grace Sneden.

To her great-grandchildren, Ann was lovingly known as "Gigi." Her six great-grandchildren Noah, Luke, Sean, Max, Madi, and Audrey brought her immense joy, and she treasured every moment they shared together.

After an intimate family celebration of life in MN, Ann will be interred alongside Bob in Loudon, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ann's memory to Community Church at Tellico Village in Loudon, TN, or the American Cancer Society.

Ann had a great life over her 92 years. She built a family she adored, touched countless lives through her generosity and service, while filling the years with adventure, friendship, laughter, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the warmth of her heart, her generous spirit, and most of all the way she cared for the people around her.
