Anne Marie Ferguson
Age 70, died in her home in St. Paul over the Memorial weekend. She is lovingly remembered by her five sisters - Susan, Mary, Jean, Elizabeth (Ken) and Patricia; as well as three nieces, five nephews, one grand niece, four grand nephews, an uncle, several cousins and her long time and best friend Clarence. A few years prior to her passing, Anne and her sisters were able to locate and connect with their older brother Greg before he passed away in the fall of 2023.
Anne received her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work while living in New York City, a career that inspired her compassion for others. She later pursued a Master's Degree in Minnesota, a journey interrupted by health challenges that she faced with grace and resilience.
Besides a passion for gardening and flowers, Anne was a true collector at heart. She had a lifelong passion for vintage treasures, antiques, and agate hunting, delighting in the beauty and history of the things she discovered and grew. Her strong Christian faith was a guiding force in her life.
Her home in St. Paul was a cherished sanctuary, a reflection of her creativity, hobbies and spirit. She deeply valued the friendships she formed in her community there and found great joy in participating in its many artistic and social activities.
Despite facing years of complex health issues, Anne met every obstacle with courage and strength. Her perseverance served as a quiet but powerful example to those around her.
She will be remembered for her generous heart, her unique sense of style, and her unwavering spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and the gentle reminder to find beauty in even the smallest of things.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation for Anne will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, June 23rd at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi (900 Stillwater Rd), followed by a funeral service at 2:30 pm. A dessert gathering will follow the service.
