Anne Carol Neuman

Anne Carol Neuman, age 80, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, in Stillwater, Minnesota, on September 28, 2026.

Anne was born on October 11, 1945, to the late William James Sexton and Marie Pauline (Quast) Sexton. Raised on the family farm in Janesville, Minnesota, she developed a lifelong appreciation for learning and community. She went on to attend Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education.

Anne dedicated her career to nurturing young minds, beginning as a classroom teacher before transitioning into her long-held role as a media specialist, from which she eventually retired.

Outside of her professional life, Anne cherished time spent traveling with her husband, Kirk. An avid reader, she had a passion for books and quiet moments with a good story. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with and spoiling her beloved grandchildren.

Anne is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Kirk "VJ" Neuman; her sons, David Scott Neuman (Lindsay Anne Matthews) and Jeremy William Neuman (Heather Anne Neuman); and her cherished grandchildren, Samuel John Neuman (Emily Rose Anderson), Emily AnnMarie Neuman, and Heidi Josephine Neuman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William James Sexton and Marie Pauline (Quast) Sexton, and her brother, William "Bill" R. Sexton.

Service Details:

A visitation and memorial service to honor and celebrate Anne’s life will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center - 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, MN, 55082. Visitation will be at 10 AM, with Memorial Service to follow at 11AM. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anne’s honor may be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund
