Anthony "Tony" Charles Scherer

Tony (age 62) of Scandia, Mn passed away September 10th, of 2026 in his home with his wife by his side after a brief battle with cancer. Tony was an avid hunter, fisherman and lover of nature and his family. He shared this love with many in his life, through hunting trips, fishing adventures, spending time in the woods, and sharing his stories along the way.

In 1993 when he met Pam, they became inseparable and started sharing all of life's wonderful adventures together. Tony graduated from Stillwater in 1982, and worked as a dedicated mechanic until his retirement in 2025. One of his greatest passions was sharing his knowledge and traditions with all the children in his life. Because of this, Tony will never be forgotten, but live on through all of our adventures in the great outdoors, life, and through the many, "remember this" moments.

He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy ; Uncles, Charles, Mark, and Fred.

Tony is survived by his loving wife Pam; children, Kristi (James), Cheryl (Gary), Sean (Chelsea); his father Valentine; sisters, Valerie (Susie) and Dianne; mother in law Sally; sister in law Lori; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and so many more family and friends.

A visitation is scheduled at Stillwater Bradshaw Tuesday September 22nd 2026 from 3-5, followed by a short service at 5. All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers the family asks to keep Tony's legacy alive and take a child fishing, hunting, or out in nature where he truly loved to be.
