Arthur Kirkland was born on June 20, 1943 in Fairfield, Alabama, the son of Birley and Sue Pearl (Densmore) Kirkland. Died on May 24, 2016 in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the age of 72 years. Arthur served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He loved to draw, sing and play the guitar.
He is survived by his sisters, Lillie Colbert, Lelia Kirkland, Minnie Mayes and Margaret Thornton; fiancee, Rose Redding; many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved.
Arthur was preceded in death by parents, Birley and Sue Pearl (Densmore); brothers, Robert Densmore, Birley Kirkland, Jr., Eddie Kirkland, Willie Kirkland; and sister, Bertha Leonard.
Service Saturday, May 28 at 1 PM at The Augustana Home Chapel, 1007 East 14th Street, Minneapolis, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
