Barbara "Barb" Bassamore

Barbara E. Bassamore (Bale, formerly Burrington), of South Minneapolis, MN, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, at the age of 88.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; son, Michael; great-grandson, Joseph Bentley; daughter-in-law, Wendy; mother, Gladys Jenke; and siblings David, Ray, Ted, and Ed Burrington, Bette Zwieg, and Dianne Winter.

Barbara is survived by her children: Clyde (Sue), Tony, and Wendy (Derek) Gross; grandchildren: Jenny Dominguez, Mike C., Deni, Joe, Geno, Danielle, Eric, AJ, Brandon Bassamore, Donovan, Dominic, and Denaya Gross; sister, Irene Winkler; and ten great-grandchildren.

Barbara dedicated her life to her family. As a homemaker, her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the smell of something wonderful cooking or baking.

She was a loving mother, grandmother & great grandmother, and a talented seamstress who brought comfort and care to everything she touched. Her kindness, strength, and deep love for her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A visitation in Barbara’s honor will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, at Bradshaw Funeral Home, 3131 Minnehaha Ave S, Minneapolis, MN.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered
