Beloved Wife, Mother, Mother-In-Law, Grandmother and Great Grandmother

Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family on October 7, 2009. Preceded in death by infant daughter, Peggy Ann and parents, Leona and Reese Schmidt. Barb will be greatly missed by husband of 54 years, Merlin; children, Steve (Sue), Mark (Lynne), Mike (Janet), Brad (Missy) and Charlie (Kristin); grandchildren, Mike (Sarah), Matt, Hannah, Scott, Jamie, Chelsea, Adam, Jennaya, Austin, Haylie; great granddaughter, Isabella; other relatives and many friends. Barb was a dedicated OB RN at St. John's Hospital for 22 years. Family would like to thank barb's doctors, nurses, hospice staff, the gathering and all who cared for her. Because of such caring individuals, she was able to make her journey to her Lord a peaceful one. Memorial Service 11 AM, Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH , 6201 Osgood Avenue North , Stillwater . Visitation Monday from 5 to 7 PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd. (NW corner of Hwy 36 and Co. Rd. 5) and one hour prior to service at church. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, memorials are welcomed to Lakeview Hospice, Stillwater , First Presbyterian Church or American Cancer Society.
