Barbara (Koch) Washenberger
Age 79 of St. Paul

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister.
Passed away peacefully on Sept. 17, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, LeRoy, and sisters Toni and Edie.

She is survived by her sister, Kathy; sons, Charles (Rebecca) and Daniel (Carol); and her grandchildren, Ryenne, Evan, Eric, Alex, Benjamin, and Maxwell.

Born Sept. 4, 1943 to Anthony and Eva Koch, Barbara was a St. Paul resident the majority of her life. She grew up on Dayton's Bluff and she and LeRoy raised their two sons in St. Paul’s North End. Barbara was a 1961 graduate of Harding high school and began a career in printing shortly thereafter. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards, cook-offs, and cribbage tournaments with the family. She was a tough and courageous woman filled with grit, determination and humor. She will be deeply missed by an abundance of friends and family.

Funeral mass will be held at 11:30am Monday October 10, 2022 at Church of St. Bernard, 187 W. Geranium, with visitation prior starting at 9:30am.
