Betty Jane Bremer (Peters)

June 17, 1930 — June 14, 2025

Betty Jane Bremer (Peters) was born to Florence (Hadler) and Henry Peters in Lake City, MN on June 17, 1930. She went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2025, at the age of 94.

She was baptized as an infant and later confirmed at West Florence Lutheran Church. She grew up and attended grade school in Lake City, MN and graduated from the School of Agriculture at the University of Minnesota in 1947.

Betty married Walter F. Bremer on June 10, 1950, at the West Florence Lutheran Church. They farmed for many years in the Lake City area and moved to Bayport, MN, then to Colorado Springs, CO, later to Aurora, CO and now in Stillwater, MN.

Betty was always a dedicated homemaker. When she lived in Colorado Springs she also worked as a banquet server at the Broadmoor Hotel and later at the Sheraton Hotel in Denver. She worked part-time as a sample sales associate for 15 years at Sam's Club in White Bear Lake, MN and then in Aurora, CO until she retired. Due to her friendly personality and dedication, she was considered an outstanding employee and was always top in sales.

Betty will be remembered for her calm strength, willingness to always listen, fun loving spirit, a life of purpose and perseverance, and her enduring devotion to her husband and children. Betty was a member of the Ladies Guild and attended Tuesday Bible Study at Salem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, attending her children's and grandchildren's softball and basketball games, school events, graduations, watching all types of college and professional sports and traveling to Switzerland, Germany and Austria with her sister, Lois. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends where her smiles and laughter will always be remembered.

She is survived by 5 children; daughter Monica Gilbert of Bayport, MN; daughter Gail Hubbard of New Berlin, WI; son Bruce Bremer (Regina) of Union, KY; daughter Karen Rand (Doug) of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter Darlene Bosking (Bill) of Austin, TX; 7 grandchildren; Christina Gilbert, Michael Hubbard (Wendie), Sarah Hubbard, Jonathan Hubbard (Jennifer), Matthew Bremer; Daniel Bremer (Dorothy) and Baylee Evans (Braden); 7 great-grandchildren, Jackson and Carter Shonsey, Madalyn and Karingtyn Bremer, Connor and Nora Hubbard, Clara Bremer; sister-in-law Rita Steffenhagen (Gary) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Walter F. Bremer her husband; Florence and Henry Peters her parents, Lois Peper her sister, Marlyn Peters her brother and Maurice Peters an infant brother.

All who know her will miss her dearly.

Funeral Service 11am Friday, June 20th at Salem Lutheran Church, 14940 62nd St N, Stillwater, with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Salem Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials in her honor are preferred and may be directed to Salem Lutheran School, Stillwater, MN 55082.
