Melville R. Mudgett, age 64, St. Paul, MN formerly of Clayton, WI, died Tuesday, December 2, 2015 at Galtier Health Center in St. Paul, MN, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bobby was born July 30, 1951 in St. Paul, MN, to Melville C. and Frances (Poquette) Mudgett. He grew up in the St. Paul area. After a short time in the Marines he returned home where he met the love of his life, Betty Mattson. They were married on May 24, 1974 in Watertown, SD.
Bobby was a laborer his whole life, holding positions in many industries. He was a farmer, pipefitter, landscaper, OTR truck driver, and worked in construction. His life experience gave him a vast range of knowledge that he was always happy to share with friends and family.

Bobby loved the outdoors and was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. His other passion was the many demolition derbies he participated in, whether driving or assisting. Most enjoyable to him though was sharing his interests with anybody who wanted to learn. Whether it was his kids, grandkids, friends, or family - he was always happy to share his hobbies with others and help whenever he could.

Sadly he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (1998), his parents, and his father-in-law. He was also preceded in death by brothers Alan, Vernon, Melford, Eddie, Dean & Clyde, and sisters Lorna, Fran, & Helen.

Survivors include his daughters Chris (Jerry) Hanson and Lorna (Trent) Woodman; grandchildren MiKayla, Miranda, Benjamin, Isaac, Bethany, Trent, Daunte & Jaydyn; and great-grandson Jayce. He is further survived by his Goddaughter, Carla, his mother-in-law, Laura, brother Jesse, and sisters Joyce, Jenny & Grace, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Arrangements are per Bobby's wishes. After cremation there will be a private interment at Moe Lutheran Cemetery in Clear Lake, WI. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 1pm Kistner's Korner in Connorsville, WI.
