First Sergeant Bradley Michael Butler (U.S. Army, Ret.)
First Sergeant Bradley Michael Butler, age 74, of Woodbury, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly while vacationing in Florida.
Bradley dedicated 24 years of honorable, active-duty service to the United States Army. Achieving the distinguished rank of First Sergeant, he spent the majority of his military career specializing in aviation maintenance. His leadership, mechanical expertise, and dedication to the soldiers under his command ensured the safety and readiness of countless aircraft and crews throughout his decades of service.
Outside of his military career, Brad was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in life’s simpler pleasures. He was a passionate golfer who loved spending his mornings on the greens, always chasing the perfect swing. He was also happiest when he was at the lake, casting a line and enjoying the quiet peace of the water surrounded by nature.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Butler.
Bradley is survived by his son, Eric (Alayna) Butler; his three cherished grandchildren, Thea, Alex, and Miekkal; and his siblings, Tina, Tony, Lisa, Frank, Gloria, and Jeanine. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, Minnesota. A visitation will begin one hour prior at 10:00 AM.
