Bradley Richard Halfman, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 26, 2026, after a life lived with quiet strength, deep faith, and an abiding love for his family.
Brad was born on August 29, 1959, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and grew up in Milwaukee, where his faith took root in his earliest years. He attended Salem Lutheran Grade School and Wisconsin Lutheran High School, foundations that shaped the man he would become.
On August 4, 1984, Brad married the love of his life, Nancy (Hiles) Halfman, beginning a beautiful partnership that would span over forty years.
Brad built a meaningful career in technology, spending his working years at General Mills and Pillsbury leading the Data Center. Among his proudest professional achievements was a trip to Mumbai, India. It was during this trip that Brad was responsible for personally training a new team and getting a new data center operations location up and running. This was just one of many testaments to the respect, trust, and expertise Brad had earned.
But what gave Brad the greatest joy was always his family. He was a husband, a father (affectionately known as Superman to his daughter), and a grandfather who showed up, fully and without hesitation, for every moment that mattered. The legacy of faith and family he instilled in his children and grandchild is one they carry with pride every day. He treasured family trips to Colorado and Florida, and held especially dear the quiet, peaceful hours spent with his father on the porch in Jackson, simple moments that meant everything.
Faith was the foundation of Brad's life. From his baptism to his final days, he lived as a devoted Christian and faithful member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. He served his beloved St. John's Lutheran Church as a member of the church council, a steadfast and faithful presence in the small, cherished congregation he called home.
Brad is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Nancy; his son, Andrew Steven, and daughter-in-law, Lizle; his daughter, Elizabeth Lynn; grandson, Ethan Richard; his dedicated father, Richard Halfman; his sister, Linda Pankow, and her husband Timothy. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Charlotte Elaine Halfman; and his grandparents.
Funeral Service 11am Tuesday, April 7th at St. John's Lutheran Church, 5274 Stillwater Blvd, Stillwater, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
