In loving memory of Bruce "Barney" Richard Engstrom
Bruce passed away unexpectedly on June 8, 2026, leaving behind family, friends, and a community that will deeply miss his presence, humor, and kindness.
For over 30 years, Bruce was a dedicated employee at S&T Office Products, where he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of coworkers through his strong work ethic and dependable nature. He took pride in his work and valued the friendships he made throughout his career.
Outside of work, Bruce had a passion for old cars. Whether he was admiring a classic vehicle, talking about restoration projects, or reminiscing about cars from years gone by, his enthusiasm was contagious. He appreciated the craftsmanship and history behind every classic automobile.
He also held a special love for North Hudson and Lake Elmo. These places brought him peace, joy, and countless memories shared with family and friends. He cherished spending time there.
Perhaps what many will remember most was his sense of humor. Bruce loved telling jokes and making people laugh. He could brighten a room with a funny story, a clever remark, or a perfectly timed punchline. His laughter and ability to bring smiles to others were gifts that touched many lives.
Above all, Bruce will be remembered as a loving family member, loyal friend, hardworking colleague, and a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love he gave so freely.
He is survived by sisters, Sandy Simpson and Barbara Kongsvik; brother, David Engstrom; niece, Jill Priester (John); and great nieces, Jayne, Jemma; great nephew, Jacob; nephew, Brian Simpson (Sheri); great newphew, Hayden Simpson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loretta and Richard Engstrom.
A celebration of life will be held July 1st at the Twin Point Tavern in Lake Elmo, 11199 Stillwater Blvd. Lake Elmo from 3-7 P.M.
Though his passing leaves a tremendous void, those who knew and loved him will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
