Carl Anthony Baglio II

December 14, 1954 — January 21, 2026

With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Carl A. Baglio II, who left this world surrounded by the love he gave so freely throughout his life.

Carl was a devoted husband, an extraordinary father, and a deeply kind soul. To those who knew him best, he was a steady presence, a source of laughter, and a soft place to land. He was endlessly loving, playful, and fun-someone who made people feel at ease simply by being himself. His kindness ran deep; he was compassionate, forgiving, and never one to hold a grudge.

A natural athlete and lifelong lover of the outdoors, Carl found joy in movement, fresh air, and shared adventures. Whether skiing, biking, hiking, or heading up north, he cherished time spent outdoors, especially when it meant being with his family.

Carl was an avid skier, and his passion for the sport led him to become a certified ski instructor at Afton Alps in Minnesota. Over 30 years ago, he achieved the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) highest certification, Level 3-a distinction that reflected both his technical skill and dedication. Carl actively taught skiers of all ages and abilities and assisted with instructor training over the decades. Many benefitted from his patient, insightful coaching, which helped countless guests grow in confidence and ability. He was always looking forward to the next run down a mountain in white soft powder snow, under sunny skies, making smooth perfect turns. Carl greatly enjoyed mountain ski trips, where he could share his love of skiing with family and friends.

He also had a deep love for music. Self-taught and gifted by ear, Carl taught himself to play the guitar and found comfort and joy in it. Many evenings were spent playing along to YouTube, immersed in music during the quiet hours of the night. It was one of the ways he relaxed, reflected, and expressed himself.

Professionally, Carl was a dedicated realtor who took great pride in his work. He believed in doing right by people and approached every client relationship with honesty, patience, and care. To him, real estate was never just about houses, it was about helping people find a place to build their lives. Many clients became friends, and his reputation was built on trust and genuine connection.

Above all, he was a family man. He was devoted to his wife, Tracy, the love of his life, and a proud, loving father who led by example. He showed what it meant to live with integrity, loyalty, and passion. He kept his word, lived fully, and loved fiercely.

Though his time here feels far too short and there were many memories left to make, the impact of Carl's life is immeasurable. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, music, and kindness that will continue to live on through those who were lucky enough to know him.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents Carl Baglio and Doris Baglio, and sister-in-law Cindy Baglio.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his wife of 45 years, Tracy; children Allison Baglio, Anthony Baglio, siblings Steve Baglio, Mary Beth (Kent) Peterschick, Bill (Lisa) Baglio and many beloved nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Memorials in Carl's honor may be directed to the family, who will ensure they are used in ways that reflect his values and the life he lived so fully.

A gathering of friends and family will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stillwater on Friday, February 6th from 4-8pm with a service beginning at 6.
