Carmen Wolf Bennett
Born to and proceeded in death by Gladys and Raymond Wolf on January 14, 1947- Died, October 26, 2021
Beloved family, friend, Mom, stepmom, and Grandmother
Survived by her grown children, son-in-laws, grandchildren, siblings beloved pet Marley and even survived by one living aunt on her Mother’s side. Also proceeded in death by her brother Charles Wolf as well as some cousins, aunts and uncles. She married Joseph M. Bennett Sr. in 1974 and later divorced in 1996.
She birthed a son and a daughter and was proud of all of her kids including grandkids and step-children.
Carmen played the saxophone, basketball, and piano in high school and graduated in 1965 from Windom High School.
She joined the Women’s Army Corps April 4,1967 and served during Vietnam active duty in the Pentagon as a clerk/ typist. She was also a former Administrative Assistant for United States Army Reserves from May 1972-June 1974 & September 1979-September 1981.
In 1970 she started a Single parent Christian fellowship group through GMAE. It was hosted at Wooddale Church in Richfield, MN.
She married Joseph Bennett Sr. on October 12th of 1974. They welcomed a daughter in October of 1975. In 1969 she welcomed a son. With her marriage there was a merging of families as Joseph Bennett Sr. had 5 girls, one living son, and a son who had died at birth.
Carmen studied at North Central Bible College, class of 1972 and studied General studies at Worthington Jr. College in MN.
She lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico and passed away at the VA hospital in Albuquerque. She loved the weather and was very grateful to get to live where it was a bit warmer and without much snow. She loved her wisteria plant she once had and enjoyed plants and planting as she grew up on a farm in a family that farmed in Southern Minnesota. She was proud of her faith in Christ and was raised Baptist, but transitioned to a non-denomination Christian and accepted Jesus as her savior. Carmen enjoyed playing church hymns and Christmas songs on the piano. When she couldn’t make it to church she would watch it online or on television.
She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by her kids, grandkids, family, and friends.
