Chuck Collins

Charles “Chuck” Collins of Crystal, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2023, just before his 65^th birthday. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Anna; son, Alexander; brother, Elmer; sister-in-law, Ann; nephews, Jimmy and Daniel; and his beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Jack. He will be missed by those who survive him: his sons, Ric (Gaby) Von Mende, Pat (Julie) Von Mende and their mother, Deborah Von Mende; grandchildren, Niki Kenigsberg, Heino, Mauro, Annalyse and Octavian Von Mende; siblings, George (Cristy), Cecelia Castillon, Mike (JoAnn), Patricia, Colleen, Greg (Roxanne), Mark, Patrick (Brenda); many nieces and nephews.

Born in Waukon, Iowa and raised in Stillwater, Minnesota, Chuck saw the world when he enlisted in the Navy. He was dedicated to his work at Auer Steel and Gannett Publishing.  He was a man of many interests and talents. He loved the outdoors, theater, photography, movies, rock and opera music. He was a collector of many things, could fix pretty much anything, and had a great sense of humor. He always had a Dad Joke at the ready.

Funeral service will be 11:00am Saturday, September 23, 2023 at BRADSHAW, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, with visitation one hour prior. Memorials preferred to the Guthrie Theater.
