Charles L. Cox-Spann
07/13/1981-09/02/2026
Charles L. Cox Spann, age 45 of Minneapolis, MN passed away on September 2, 2026.
Charles was born on July 13, 1981 in Pontiac, Michigan to parents Charles Lee Spann Sr. and Dorothy Louise Cox. Shortly after his birth, his family relocated to Saint Paul, Minnesota where he was raised and called home. Growing up, Charles was the oldest brother to his siblings shared with Charles Spann Sr and Dorothy Cox, later to find out he had two older siblings shared with the same mom and several other siblings shared with the same father. He did his best, took pride in being a big brother and uncle, and loved overall being part of a big family and our family gathering.
As a big brother, he added extra protection over his little sisters and was there when they needed him.
Charles graduated high school in the year 2000 and became employed, working for taxi cab driver services throughout Saint Paul. He loved helping others and driving, so that was a perfect fit for him.
In his free time he enjoyed driving, purchasing different cars, loved low riders, jewelry, listening to music, going out to eat, being around crowds, taking pictures and chiming in to loved one's comments on social media, living life to the fullest even if it meant doing it alone at times.. You could find him smiling and trying to make the best out of every situation.. Such a kind-hearted soul gone too soon 🕊️ 🕊️🕊️
Charles is preceded in death by his father, Charles Spann Sr.; step-mother, Renee; siblings, Charles Spann Jr., Lisa McMorris, and Tommy Spann; and all four maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Cox; siblings, Lisa Spann, Michael Spann (little Michael), Howard McKnight, Tanya McKnight, Jeffrey Spann, Tiffany Spann, Tony Spann, and over 25 other siblings; and over 75 nieces and nephews.
