Charles "Skip" Czuck" Joseph Rehman III, of Hopkins, was born in Edina, Minnesota, on April 17, 1966, and passed away October 19, 2025. The youngest of three and the only son, Skip spent a lot of time in his early years at Berean Baptist Church, where his father was pastor. After the family moved to Albert Lea, he discovered his lifelong love of hockey-braving 5 a.m. ice times-and became an avid goaltender, playing varsity in Coon Rapids after another family move.
After high school, Skip joined the U.S. Air Force, spending his early years serving at a VA hospital in Biloxi, Mississippi, while attending community college. When the Air Force discovered his gift for languages, they sent him to train at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, where he became fluent in Czech and Russian. While stationed in Germany during Operation Desert Shield/Storm, he played goalie for a German hockey league and added German to his repertoire. Through the Air Force program, he earned a B.S. from New York University. After he left the Air Force, he spent a year living in the Czech Republic. Upon returning home he completed a master's in leadership development from Bethel University. An entrepreneur at heart, Skip developed the idea of placing unique stamps in small gold frames. He called them "mini masterpieces" and they were available online for several years. Throughout his life he held a variety of jobs, his favorite being his last: a gift card fraud specialist at Target.
Skip loved his family, hockey, the Vikings, the Twins, tennis, a good debate, and a lively card game. He was looking forward to seeing his nephews play hockey and was able to go to a game shortly before he passed. He believed deeply in Jesus as his Savior and friend.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Jr., and survived by his mother, Janice; sisters, Lori (Paul) Carter and Beth (Neal) Dutton; nieces and nephews Andrew (Erin) Carter, Mary Joy (Jim) Sleesman, Carrie (Zach) Anderson, Jessica (Josh) Aakre, and Blake Dutton; and ten great-nieces and nephews.
Skip was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend-he will be dearly missed.
