Cuba E. Hite

Age 97 of Bloomington, MN, formerly of Cleveland, OH

Passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026. Cuba was born in Findlay, Ohio, on October 29, 1928. She lived in the Cleveland and Mansfield areas for most of her life until 2007, when she moved to Minnesota to be closer to her family.

She married Richard Hite in 1956; they both shared a love for travel, family, and volunteer work. Following their relocation to Minnesota, Richard passed away. Over the last 18 years in Minnesota, Cuba enjoyed being near her daughter and becoming involved in her local church. She was also a dedicated member of The Order of the Eastern Star, where she held several offices throughout her membership.

Cuba graduated from Kent State University in 1953. She went on to work in Family Services in Mentor, Ohio, and retired in 1994 from Lakeland Community College, where she served as a research assistant and information analyst.

Cuba is preceded in death by her husband, Richard.

Cuba is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Thomas) Pugh and Denise (David) Bunch; grandsons, Russell (Mikaela Wegscheid) Bunch, Thomas Pugh Jr., and Tyler Pugh; and brother, Wally (Alice) Copeland.

Funeral Service 5pm Saturday, August 22nd at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, with visitation beginning one hour prior.
