Age 84, of Hugo, passed away January 22, 2026.
Preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Irene; brother, Mark; and sister, Patricia.
Survived by wife, Diane; children, Daniel (Michelle), Debra (Eric) Rodgers, Denise and David (Melissa); grandchildren, Katelyn, Konnor, Emma-Jo, Colbie, Charlie and Sienna; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Dan spent his early years determined to serve his country, joining the Navy after graduating from high school. He then pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor's Degree that set him on a path to a rewarding career at 3M where he worked for over 30 years.
In addition to his professional achievements, Dan was a deeply spiritual man. He devoted himself to the Catholic Church and was ordained as a Deacon on September 26, 1987. His ministry touched countless lives, and his compassion and wisdom resonated with many, leaving a profound impact on the community. He served faithfully until his retirement from active ministry in 2014.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, January 29, 2026, 11:00 A.M. at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 6995 Centerville Road, Centerville with visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to DAV, Hammer/NER or Fort Snelling Memorial Rifle Squad.
