Daniel George Patrick O'Grady

Dan, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away from heart complications on February 21, 2021 at the age of 69 in his home. Dan was born on March 28, 1951 in Mpls. to George Patrick and Essie Luella O'Grady (Dosdall). He graduated from Mpls. Washburn HS in 1969 and attended UMN. Dan spent most of his life as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Edina. Later he enjoyed working for Edina Public Schools and Metro Transit.

He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Sabean (Jesse), and Kandice O'Grady; grandchildren, James, Lucy, and Hazel Sabean; former wife, Loreé Campbell. Siblings, Patrick O'Grady (Joanne), Guy O'Grady, David O'Grady (Carolyn), Lilla O'Grady and Esther O'Grady.

Dan's family will never forget his beautiful singing voice, boisterous laugh, extraordinary memory and ability to recall scores and sports statistics, his fondness for watching games with Kandice, and his quirky fascination with the weather. Dan put his faith in Jesus Christ and is currently resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, August 6th at the Dellwood Country Club, 29 East Highway 96, Dellwood, MN 55110, with a light luncheon to follow. Private family interment at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.
