David Paul Graf, Major, US Army (Ret.)
Major David Paul Graf, age 65, passed away on June 22, 2025 at his home, in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ewald Joseph Graf; and his mother, Colleen Agnes Graf.
David is survived by his husband, Nghia Dinh Pham.
David was born on June 24, 1959, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He attended and graduated from St. Thomas Academy high school. He then went on to earn a BA degree in Political Science from Bemidji State University in 1981, and in 1996, earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Embry Riddle University.
After graduation from college David served in the US Army from 1981 to 2011, retiring at the rank of Major. His awards and decorations included the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award), Army Commendation Medal (4th award) the Army Achievement Medal (with oak leaf cluster), the Combat Action Badge, and Air Assault Badge. He served three combat tours in Iraq.
In civilian life, David worked for several banks as a customer service rep, sales banker, and as an investment broker.
David was a kind hearted person who enjoyed spending time with his husband and loving his cats and dogs. He enjoyed gardening, collecting American stamps, reading, movies,
and spending an evening near the fireplace.
Funeral services for Mr. David Graf will be held on Wednesday, July 9 at 11:00 AM at Bradshaw (1078 Rice Street) with visitation an hour prior.
Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
