David Loos

David Sherman Loos

Age 90, of Lake Elmo, MN passed away on December 20, 2022.

David was born on May 7, 1932 to Sherman and Gladys Loos in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.  He graduated from Colby High School in 1950 and the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1954.  David was involved in the Air Force ROTC and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering.

In the Airforce, David was stationed at East Kirkby in Lincolnshire, England.  On December 26, 1955 he met Wendy Tait.  They were married in 1956 and lived in Revesby, England and Colby, Wisconsin before moving to St. Paul, Minnesota.  They moved to Lake Elmo in 1959 and had two children, son Kim and daughter Jacqueline.

David worked as a Civil Engineer and a consultant.  He was actively involved in the Eau Claire Chapter of the Scottish Rite, Masonic Lodge, 32nd degree.  He enjoyed big game hunting and was an active member of the North American Wild Sheep Foundation.

David was predeceased by his parents, Gladys and Sherman.  He is survived by his wife Wendy, son Kim, daughter Jacqueline Delahunt, son in law Tom, grandchildren Tait (Hannah), Jack and Jane.  Also survived by cousins and family in England.

Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Stillwater Area High School (SAHS) Swim & Dive.
