David "Dave" J Tschida
Age 64 of Oakdale, MN passed away on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026.
He is preceded in death by parents Richard and Margaret; siblings Michael and Linda; and sister in law Nola.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Nikki; daughters Hope and Miranda; in-laws Gary and Gayle Nason, Shane and Nina Nason, Kevin Hallen; siblings Rickie, Pam (Mark) and Robbie; and many beloved nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
Dave was born and raised in Stillwater MN and attended Stillwater High School before beginning his work as a sales representative. He met the love of his life, Nikki, in 1999 and married her in 2003. Nikki and Dave moved to Oakdale in 2004 with Hope to settle down and raise their family.
Dave was a devoted father and husband, always making time to attend and coach various youth sporting activities including soccer, softball, and hockey. When not at the field or rink, you could find Dave soaking up college and professional sports from his recliner. Before starting his family, Dave enjoyed team sports such as broomball and softball with friends. In the girls' early years, Dave spent multiple weekends of the year creating lots of memories with friends and family while hunting and fishing. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it, and over the years grew to love volunteering at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Dave found joy and fulfillment being a role model and making the younger generations; especially Ava, Drew, Hollis, and Brooks smile and laugh. He will be remembered as a stubborn man with a huge heart; always smiling and cracking jokes.
A service celebrating Dave's life will be held at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater on Thursday, April 16th at 3p.m. with a visitation beginning at 1p.m. Please come dressed in Dave's favorite colors - purple or pink - with a story to share.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Dave's name to The National Eagle Center , Alzheimers Association , or The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
