Delores J. "Dee" Nelson

Delores J. "Dee" Nelson of Stillwater (formally Marine on St. Croix)

Dee (aka Jitter to her family), daughter of Lloyd and Ardys Anderson, grew up in River Falls, WI. Following her graduation from River Falls High School, she completed her undergraduate studies at University of Wisconsin - River Falls and continued to earn her Master's at the University of Minnesota. 

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob; and her sister, Betty. 

Dee was an English teacher in the Stillwater school district for 35+ years. She was tough but fair and encouraged her students to strive for excellence. Dee was fun to be around and had a zest for life. Among her many interests, she loved art, gardening, hiking, reading, playing golf, traveling, ballroom dancing, and socializing with her friends. After searching for the perfect location, Dee and Bob together designed and built their special home perched on a bluff and nestled among trees and flowers.

Survived by her nephews, many other family members, and dear friends.

Special thanks to the caring staff at The Lakes at Stillwater. A private service will be held. If desired, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
