Denise Chaves

 Denise Chaves, age 64, of White Bear Lake, MN, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, July 7th, 2025.

Denise is preceded in death by her father, Dennis Chamberlin; sisters, Debbie Rowan and Dorene Chamberlin; Aunt Virginia Ellis; Uncle Bob Ellis; and grandparents Johnny and Mary Bartone.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Gary Chaves; children, Kevin Chaves (Amanda) and Krystin Gibbons (Jake); and five cherished grandchildren, Alexa, Kylie, Oliver, Levi, and Mia.

She is also survived by her mother, Maryann Yates (Bill); brothers, Rick Chamberlin (Robin), and Dan Chamberlin; and many other dear family members and friends.

Denise was a loving wife, mother, daughter, friend and Mimi. She loved going to see her grandkids in sports, plays, and concerts. Denise also enjoyed cooking, planting flowers, spending time with family, and most importantly-her yearly trips to Disney with Gary and loved ones.

She provided amazing care in her at-home daycare for many families over 41 years, helping to shape countless children into the people they are today.

The family would like to thank everyone at Our Lady of Peace Hospice for the incredible care they provided to Denise, along with the many doctors and nurses who supported her. A special thank you to all friends and family who provided meals, groceries and support during this difficult time.

A celebration of Denise's life will be held on Sunday, July 20th at 2:00 PM, with a visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, Minnesota. A luncheon will follow.
