Donald was born and raised in Minneapolis where he grew up as an alter boy at St. Albert's the Great Church and later graduated from South High. He was then drafted into the Army after which he returned and attended classes at the U of M Extension.
Donald had a wide range of careers over the years including working for the city of Minneapolis as Sanitation Crew, Groundskeeping at the VA, and owning his own landscaping business called Grasshopper.
Donald loved the outdoors and enjoyed biking, camping, gardening and home improvements.
Donald was also a long time DFL campaigner and supporter where he was on many committees and ran for the local park board.
He also was a longtime caregiver with his wife Annette and his dog Ralph.
He will be greatly missed by his many longtime friends and family.
