Donald E. “Don” Norell

Age 91, of Stillwater, passed away peacefully December 15, 2021.  Don was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Jackle; sister, Elaine Thorsen; and brother, Lee Norell.

He will be sadly missed by wife, Mary; children, Joe (Joanne) Norell, Donna Norell, Toni (Tom) Klatt, Neil (Laurie) Norell and Maddie Norell; the Doyle family, Sue, Pam, Kathy, John, James, Nick, Indy and Ava; 7 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Don was in the Coast Guard for 3 years.  He was a 38 year employee at NSP and was a school bus driver for 15 years.  Don also worked at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stillwater.  He enjoyed building homes.  As a lover of the outdoors, Don’s passion was developing property and planting trees.  He also enjoyed traveling.  Above all, family was very important to Don.  He was a loving husband, father, friend, uncle, brother and grandpa.

A celebration of Don’s life will be Monday, January 3, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 115 North 4th Street, Stillwater with a visitation beginning at 10:30 A.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
