Shoemaker, Donald A.,
Age 84, of White Bear Lake, passed away on December 16 surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by his wife of 31 years Marilyn, brothers Curtis and Stanley and sister Elaine. Survived by his three sons Daniel (Debra), Andrew (Karen) and Douglas (Kate), grandchildren Christine, Jeffrey, Joseph, Matthew (Anne), Collin (Alli), Sara, Connor, Evan and Michael and great-grandchildren Henry and Finnegan. Don served in the Korean War as a radio communications specialist from 1951 to 1953, graduated from Macalester College with a BA in political science, and had a long career in the auto business, eventually becoming a partner in Brookman Motors in Lake Elmo. Don's passions were his family, fishing and boxing, and he served for many years as a judge and official in the Upper Midwest Golden Gloves.
Visitation 5-7 P.M. on Monday December 21st followed by a Prayer Service at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Cty Rd 5), Stillwater. Private Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
