Age 87, of Duluth, formerly of Edina, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2017. Preceded in death by infant daughter, Jane and his 2 sisters. He will be sadly missed by wife of 65 years, Lois; sons, Jeff (Ann), Stanton and Brian (Becky); grandchildren, Erin (Brian) Howe, Mike (Rachael), Adam (Victoria) and Brennan; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Elijah, Lucas and Norah. Doug was a band director for 28 years in the Edina School District. After retiring, he and Lois moved to their lake home northwest of Duluth. A celebration of Doug's life will be Friday, May 26, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at DULUTH CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, 3833 East Superior Street, Duluth. Family will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
