Passed away peacefully on December 31, 2015 after a yearlong battle with lung cancer. Preceded in death by parents; siblings, Marvin, Ray, and Linda Brendt. Survived by loving wife, Carol of 46 years; sons, Duane Jr. and Dustin; grandson, Aiden; brothers, Leonard and Gary and many nieces and nephews. Duane was an entrepreneur of small businesses including Axtman Auto Sales. He enjoyed riding his Harley on trips with his friends and sons, he especially enjoyed the Route 66 trip. He was adventurous and generous. He was idealized and respected by many who knew him. A gathering of friends and family will be held Wednesday, January 6th from 4:30- 7:30 PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Co Rd 5), Stillwater with a time of sharing beginning at 7PM and a meal to follow.
