SAINT PAUL -- Eileen Therese (Boucher) Kott died Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Martin Luther Care Center in Bloomington at the age of 86.
Funeral Mass at 11 AM, visitation at 10 AM on Friday, June 2 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown, MN.
Eileen was born February 17, 1937 in Waseca, MN to Emily Davidson Boucher and George Boucher. She was raised on a farm and graduated as Valedictorian of Sacred Heart High School. Eileen moved to Saint Paul where she worked her way up from secretarial positions to becoming a top industrial advertising manager in the Twin Cities -- serving as president of the BPAA and later a top IT Recruiter.
Eileen shared her exuberance with the world; she was known for her intellect, quick wit and sense of humor. Her tenacity and cheerfulness in the face of adversity were inspirational. She enjoyed writing stories & poetry, singing, reading, cooking, baking, gardening, learning new things, and meeting new people.
She is survived by her daughters Deborah Chapdelaine; Pamela (Paul) Gillespie; Amy (Chuck) Denison; Suzi (Tom) Larkin; granddaughters Caitlyn Gillespie, Bonnie Gillespie, Sarah Gillespie, Laura Blackbriar; Kristina Denison; Brigit and Katie Larkin; and Skye Cutting; sisters Mary Brixius; Ann (Dan) Pote; Laura (Brian) Draeger; brother Leo (Phyllis) Boucher; step-siblings, Rita (Jack) Eggert; Margaret (Norm) Doyone: Ramona Tonga; Dr. Leo (Yvonne) Furr; Thomas (Bette) Furr; and Chuck Furr; and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by former husband Robert Chapdelaine.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, her second husband (divorced) Jack Kott, brother Tom (Norma) Boucher and step-siblings Zita (Clifford) Mittelstaedt, Gert (Mahlon) Grubish, and Loretta Olson.
