Eugene William Cichowicz

Eugene W. Cichowicz died unexpectedly on May 17th, 2024, after a fall in his home at the age of 82. 

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents Sophie Rose Cichowicz, and father Eugene John Cichowicz and his sister Dolores Ann Rumpf. 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Paulette Kay Cichowicz, son Nicholas Paul Cichowicz, Daughter-in-law Liza Soto De Cichowicz, Grandchildren Augustus Woodrow Cichowicz and Winston Santiago Cichowicz. Nieces Karen Rumpf, Michelle Dike and Paulla Hashem. 
Eugene graduated from York Community High School, Elmhurt, Illinois in 1959. Soon after he joined the United States Army where he served in the Army Security Agency. He graduated from DeVry Technical Institute. 
He went to work at IBM for 25 years and retired at the age of 52. During his work and retirement days he always made time for his family, spending time attending his son's soccer, basketball, powerlifting tournaments and football games.
Eugene enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad with his wife Paulette.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren making car waffles. He enjoyed learning, reading and fixing anything.  His Catholic faith was central to his life. 

He will be greatly missed by those who knew him the best. 

And watching Dallas Cowboy football games will never be the same for his family again!
