Born July 7, 1930
Of Oak Park Heights, formerly of Roseville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and in the wonderful care of Beyond Hospice, The Pillars Hospice Home and Lakeview Hospice.
Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert J. Schroeder and her grandson Collin; survived by children Julie Knuths (Jay); Robert, Jr. (Cyrena); Debra (former son-in-law Robert Kirchoff); and Thomas (Ann); grandchildren Kristian (Lydia), Karl (Danielle), Mira (Gregory), Madeline (Zachary), Zachary (Mary), Maren (Joshua), Siri and Elsa; great-grandchildren Lake, Evangeline, and Alden; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, new and old.
Born in Max, ND, raised in Wyoming, MN, named “Miss Wyoming” after graduating from Forest Lake High School (1949), and worked at Berwind Fuel Company in downtown Minneapolis and Bechik Products in St. Paul’s Midway prior to raising her family on McCarron’s Lake in Roseville. A caring, supportive, graceful and fun-loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Vangie loved bringing people together—whether family, friends, neighbors or distant relatives. Her family was her passion, and her warmth, smile, confidence and unwavering faith are a gift and lasting legacy for all.
Visitation Friday, March 6, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at BRADSHAW, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd W, Stillwater, MN 55082. Funeral service Saturday, March 7, 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at Community of Grace Church, 4000 Linden Street, White Bear Lake, MN 55110, followed by a luncheon. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery.
