FRANK BURTON STEEL

BORN: JUNE 19, 1947 IN CHICAGO, IL
DIED: December 20, 2022 in Lake Elmo, MN
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Elmer Steel, his in-laws, Jean and Paul Bedard, grandson Kelton, brother-in-laws Larry Gorton and Dave Thomas and his grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Bedard) Steel and 3 sons, Theodore (Tanya), Troy (Deb) and Todd (Lika) and 8 grandchildren Dolph, Natasha, Audrey (Alex), Ian (Sara), Kevin, Hannah, Alexandra and Weston. Also survived by his Brother, John, 6 sister-in-laws and 4 brother-in-laws. Frank graduated in1966 from Evergreen Park, in 1970 from U of IL, Urbana (chemistry) and in 1973 from Ohio State (masters in organic chemistry).
He joined 3M in Dec. of 1973 in Data Recording Products/ Magnetic Media Div. He retired after 33 1/2 yrs at 3M and Imation. He enjoyed square dancing, piano, chess, bowling, golf, bridge, traveling and his dog Arwen. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
