Age 72, received into Heaven on January 6, 2018. Preceded in death by parents, Harm and Helen (Ellis); infant sister, Sheila. Survived by sisters, DeLila Lambert and Donna (Bruce) Hoffman, both of Souix Falls, SD, and Darla (Troy Clark) Tilstra of Fitchburg, WI; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Jim Thorton and Jim Chase. Gary was an avid Twins fan, passionate reader of western novels, and a devoted member of Holy Rosary. Although a SD native, Gary became a Minnesotan through and through. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 11am at HOLY ROSARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2424 18th Ave. S. Visitation one hour prior at church.
