Gayle Ann McMahon (Stumpf), 85, passed away on May 3 rd , 2026, in Tennessee, surrounded by the love of her family.
Gayle was born on July 28, 1940, to William and June Stumpf in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she was raised on the East Side.
She graduated from Johnson High School in 1958 before attending nursing school. While in nursing school, she met the love of her life, Thomas McMahon.
Together, Gayle and Thomas built a beautiful life and family, raising their three daughters, Susie, Sheri, and Mollie.
Gayle devoted her life to helping others. She became a passionate and respected counselor, specializing in Grief, Chemical Dependency, and Anger Management. She was also a compassionate mentor whose kindness, wisdom, and genuine care touched the lives of countless people throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and June Stumpf; and her stepfather, Joseph Romanowski.
Gayle is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Thomas McMahon; their daughters, Susie, Sheri, and Mollie McMahon (Bryan Grass); grandchildren, Nicole (James), Kalley (Taylor), Shanyn, Jake and Maeve; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Siler, Kairon, and Rennik.
Her Sister, Pauline (John) Weiss; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who loved her deeply.
Gayle's warmth, compassion, and unwavering love for others will be remembered always.
Celebration of Life 12pm June 20, 2026 at Bradshaw, 4600 Greenhaven Dr, White Bear Lake, MN 55127, with visitation beginning at 10am. Lunch at the American Legion in Forest Lake at 2pm. Address: 355 W Broadway Ave, Forest Lake, MN 55025
