Age 88, of St. Paul

Passed away peacefully on May 28, 2016. Preceded in death by children, Steve, and Linda O'Connor; grandson, Damien O'Connor; siblings, Donald, LaVonne, and Harold. Survived by beloved wife of 50 years, Joyce; daughters, Lisa Galarneau, Lori (Mike) Haarstad; Son, Larry; grandchildren, Daniel, Julia, Jennifer, Hillary, Zachary, Allen, and extended grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Evelyn, Tom, and Bill. Jerry proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper during WWII. He was a longtime chef and enjoyed organizing golf tournaments as well as playing golf, watching sporting events and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 4th at 10 AM at THE CHURCH OF ST. BERNARD, 187 West Geranium Ave., St. Paul with a visitation beginning at 9 AM. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials preferred.
