Age 89, of Woodbury
Entered the gates of his Heavenly Home and is at peace in the arms of Jesus. Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Alice; 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. He will be sadly missed by wife of almost 66 years, Barbara; children, Cynthia "Cindy" (Mark) Thibodeau, Judy (Mead) Stone, Wendy (David) Flod, Jamie (Mark) Jameson, Peter Groth, Kim (Brad) Scibak, Tracy (Tedd) Morgan and Scott (Kate) Groth; 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; many other family and friends. Born and raised in Oak Park Heights where he attended Stillwater High School and was inducted into the Stillwater Athletic Hall of Fame for his basketball talent. He worked for 21 years at Central Lumber in Stillwater and 20 years at UBC in Winona and was a longtime volunteer for numerous charities in Winona and Woodbury. A celebration of Jerry's life will be Friday, 11:00 A.M. at WOODBURY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7380 Afton Road, Woodbury. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Interment Fairview Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Alzheimer's Association or American Diabetes Association.
