Born in Kansas City, Missouri, graduated from Loretto High School in Kansas City, and Augsburg College in Minneapolis. Geri was a professional gardener for many years, and she enjoyed designing and caring for the gardens in her yard. She is survived by her husband, John of 37 years; her daughters, Kirsten (Christopher) and Ellen (Eric); and granddaughters, Abbigail and Amaya. Geri loved spending time with her family and friends and was loved by all who knew her. She was an active member of her church and a long-time member of its book club. A funeral liturgy for Geri will be held Friday, July 24, 2015, at 11 am, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 3045 Chicago Ave. S., Mpls. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 4:00 - 5:30 pm in the Chapel Lounge of the church. Memorials may be provided to Mount Olive Lutheran Church Foundation.
