Formally of Bayport, passed away on September 24 at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eldoras; brothers, Milton, Harold, Lloyd, and Luverne. Survived by children, Phyllis Gulbransen (Dennis), Joan Wieden (Jeff), Jean Peterson (Jim), Robert (Lori), David, and Steven (Jenny); 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Spoors of Bayport, Myrtle Fischer and Leona Wacker of Arlington, MN; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon was born to Edward and Lena Kamps near Arlington, MN. He married Eldoras Westermann on December 29, 1950. He retired from the Minnesota State Prison in Stillwater as a Lieutenant in April, 1982. Gordon was in the Military Police during his Army tour in Korea. He was a former Commander and Chaplin at the Hesley Jensen American Legion Post #491 in Bayport. He was a member of the Stillwater VFW, the Voiture 40 & 8, and the Disabled American Veterans. Funeral Service Wednesday, 11:00 A.M. at BETHLEHEM LUTHERAN CHURCH, 490 4th St. N., Bayport. Visitation 9:00-11:00 A.M. at the church. Burial at Hazelwood Cemetery, Bayport. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donorA�??s choice.
