Gregory Allen Rubbelke, age 69, of Maplewood, Minnesota, passed away on February 3, 2026. Greg was born on November 30, 1956, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the youngest of eight children. From the beginning, he was surrounded by family, and throughout his life, family remained the center of his world.
Greg lived a life defined by kindness, gentleness, and love. He cared deeply for his wife, daughter and grandchildren and extended that same warmth to the many children who came through the home daycare he and his wife, Kathy, ran for years. Kids adored him, and families trusted him. His calm presence, huge smile, and steady kindness made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
More than anything, Greg loved his family. They were his greatest joy. He rarely missed a game for his granddaughters, Avery and Brooke, cheering them on with pride. His daughter, Sara, was the light of his life. He proudly shared stories of her accomplishments and the life she built. He also cherished his relationship with his son‑in‑law, whom he considered not just family but a true source of pride.
Greg married the love of his life, Kathy, with whom he shared decades of partnership, laughter, and devotion. Together, they built a home rooted in generosity and care.
Greg is survived by his beloved wife Kathy; his daughter, Sara (Ben); his granddaughters, Avery and Brooke; and his brothers, Tom and Jim. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Kitty, Tim, Don, Judy, and Llyod as well as his mother, Helena, and father James.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM, Bradshaw, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear, MN. A visitation one hour prior and a luncheon to follow the service.
Greg's gentle spirit, his enormous smile, and his deep devotion to the people he loved will be remembered by all who knew him. He made a meaningful impact on countless lives, and his absence will be felt profoundly.
